Many municipalities are encouraged to partner with the company, knowing that a good outcome for these young people is assured
The youth are our future and we need to invest in them. The empowerment of youth is one of InzaloEMS’s mission statements. They take learnerships very seriously and it shows. Exceeding the parameters of the usual learnerships, they go a step further by helping graduates to register businesses, by giving them tablets and even assisting them to get their driver’s licenses. Many municipalities are encouraged to partner with the company, knowing that a good outcome for these young people is assured.
A wise man once said that every business, big or small, should take on interns no matter what the industry. Hands-on working experience is the only solution for South Africans to thrive and become employable. This is exactly what InzaloEMS is doing. Wherever they can, they try to place learners who have completed learnerships in various IT disciplines, as interns.
Studies suggest that learnerships in digital skills and services have the potential to pave the way for thousands of jobs
The greatest chance of getting some form of employment or starting a business in South Africa, according to *Statista (a leading provider of market and consumer data) is in the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) industry. Studies suggest that learnerships in digital skills and services have the potential to pave the way for thousands of jobs. There is no doubt as to why InzaloEMS has created learnerships to support their growing business model. “We need to nurture our learners so they reach their potential and can become a part of the InzaloEMS family,” says Grahame Reid, InzaloEMS’s Skills Development Manager.
Audrey Ngobeni completed a NQF4 Software Development and Project Management learnership with InzaloEMS and was recently employed as an intern at their offices in Centurion. Hailing from Atteridgeville she is now a junior administrator in the Skills Development Centre. “I expect and believe that my motivation and commitment will ensure that I quickly become a valuable member of the team. I love it here,” she says.
“We are so invested in the upliftment of young South Africans”
Reid adds, “Audrey had the best attitude, she stood out and shone in the learnership. It was so easy to offer her an internship with us.” InzaloEMS runs learnerships across the length and breadth of South Africa and always goes that extra mile to assist. “We are so invested in the upliftment of young South Africans,” says Roy Matthews of R-Data, a sister company in the Western Cape. “We partner with municipalities and offer employment opportunities. We have two of those interns working with us at the moment.”
Mahlatse Sebopa completed high school in Limpopo and never dreamed she would be an intern at InzaloEMS. “I was so thrilled when I was chosen for the internship. My family too. I am a junior ICT technician. Imagine that!”
Learnerships and internships have been hailed as one of the most effective ways to address unemployment in South Africa and get young people into jobs because it encourages industry to participate in skills development while at the same time propelling employment equity. And even more effective are learnerships in the IT sector. This combination is said to be the saviour of unemployment in South Africa.
