What if consumers were given the means to purchase, control and monitor their own water consumption?
InzaloPay: technology’s direct impact on water security
Utilities continue to grapple with consumers not paying for water. However, what if consumers were given the means to purchase, control and monitor their own water consumption? What would that collective shift in mindset do for local government? While this is not a quick fix, in the long run, water would be better managed with prepaid technology, local municipalities would have steady revenue streams, and government would function better.
InzaloPay: a smart solution to smart water vending
InzaloPay is a SETA-certified online vending platform that allows customers to purchase prepaid water and electricity. It addresses key issues such as convenience, easy functionality and accessibility, cost effectiveness, as well as safety and security. It is no longer necessary for residents to travel to their local municipality to purchase prepaid water or electricity. With InzaloPay, consumers can purchase tokens from the InzaloPay app, InzaloPay website, or from their nearest participating retailer. Purchases can be made anytime, day or night. Other key benefits include unlimited trading hours, imbedded security protection, and property sub-metering.

InzaloPay is STS 2 approved and TID ready
The Standard Transfer Specification (STS) is an international accreditation, which signifies that our platform is built to meet the growing demands for improved functionality. Having this certification also means that we keep up to date with emerging global technologies. InzaloPay also incorporates Token Identifiers (TID) into our STS compliant tokens, which is required for meters to continue working after the November 2024 reset deadline.
By ensuring basic management controls such as prepaid metering, consumers will be more likely to address factors such as leakages at a faster rate, which will in turn foster a more responsible behaviour toward how water is consumed and in what quantity. All this collectively results in water security.
